I’m thankful to the Access Project and Legal Services of Northern California for this second chance. I had done everything I could to change my life, but my past was always with me. Now I can feel good about myself, and my record shows the person I am now.

~ Solano County client

I loved working with the Access Project. As a junior attorney, the client contact and stand-up experience I had on my Access Project cases was invaluable. The Access Project helped me every step of the way to achieve fantastic results for my clients.

The Access Project is proud to collaborate with some of the most prominent law firms in California, including Crowell & Moring, Fenwick & West, Goodwin & Procter, Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins, and Morgan Lewis & Bockius.

If you are a pro bono manager or committee member and you’re interested finding a program that works for your firm, contact Nora Cregan.

INDIVIDUALS interested IN RESENTENCING SERVICES under ab 2942

AB 2942 allows DAs to reevaluate past sentences and determine whether the sentence is no longer in this interest of justice. The prosecuting agency can then recommend a sentence reduction should they deem it fit in each individual circumstance.

If your loved one is currently in prison, and you think they might be eligible for resentencing based on the 2019 sentencing reform law, please complete the intake process at SentenceReform.org. We’ll work with For The People to help determine eligibility.
